Stephanie & Chris
One of my very favorite blog stalkers (Hi Kasey!) called me the other day, her wedding is in September so we were getting caught up on some details... but she told me that she's noticed we haven't been blogging much.. and she's right! I really want to blog more, so I'll send out this one now, an awesome fun couple, Stephanie and Chris! I just posted their rehearsal cruise and dinner photographs that Bruce and I did, it was awesome! Check it out! The Sabino out of Mystic Seaport is a really cool boat, and Bruce said everyone should take that cruise down the river, it was so relaxing!

Put the camera down, please?
My youngest son Brett doesn't really care much for having his picture taken. Which is odd since he's basically had a camera in his face since he was born. It's not that he hates it, but mainly just that he looks at it as an annoyance. I rarely get good pics of him unless he absolutely has no idea I'm photographing him.
What I really like about this shot is that it was a total surprise to me. We leave our cameras lying around, probably a little more than we should ;) The day before a shoot I have to scramble around the house and round everything up, charge batteries, and especially start emptying memory cards so everything's ready to go. This was on one of my cards; apparently a grab shot my wife had snagged sometime during the week, I just love it!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Unbelievable!
Chaos reigns!
This is the way my driveway looks today. Everything is quite the mess, same as yesterday. We are getting ready for winter and hopefully far less of a fuel bill too by having the house insulated. So they are ripping off some of the clapboard and shingles, drilling holes, pumping the walls full of insulation. Supposed to make a huge difference, I hope so!!
The noise of drilling and the motors and the truck and the hammering and more is enough to drive a person insane. (okay, okay...like I would have far to go!) I should have gone to Disney World or something while they were doing this... isn't that what they do on TV?? I need to find my happy place. :)

Face Your Manga
I created an avatar of myself over at Face Your Manga. One can only edit photos for so long before one needs to take a break before one's head explodes! So anywho, here I am:
So (those of you that actually know me and have SEEN me!) whaddya think? Pretty close right? I can't look at it without laughing. That's probably not a good sign ;)
Go try it out and see what YOU come up with. If you're brave enough and want to email them to us, maybe we'll put them up here on the blog as before and after pics of our brides ;)
Have fun!

Boys will be boys!
We have been crazy busy editing weddings and haven't blogged much... here's one from a wedding I'm working on now. I just love it! (Had to promise they could do whatever they wanted just for sitting through all the family pictures we did!) :)

Holy Batman! It wasn't a Robin!
It is 4 in the morning, an ungodly hour, in my opinion and I have just been awakened by a noise that didn't seem quite right. I went downstairs, nothing seems amiss... I got a drink of water and headed back to bed, and that's when I heard the noise was coming from my bedroom.
I cautiously approached. A bird! Great, so I went downstairs to get a rake (bigger than a broom) and gloves, figuring I would guide it out the door somehow. So I went back into the room and tried to direct the thing out the door, that's when I thought? What the?? It was a BAT!! OMG,now what? I am surprised that I have a thought process at 4 in the morning anyhow, let alone having to figure this out!!
So, applying the same technique I figured might work for the bird, I got him down the stairway and out onto the porch where I then left the door open to the outside so he could just leave. Problem was...I had locked the screen door on the porch too. So I had to go onto the porch and unlock it. But I was pretty proud of myself... Mission accomplished!
I went back to bed, certainly not ready to sleep again....adrenalin was a little high...and then... there it was again! OMG!! Was it the same bat, a different bat?? I have no idea. Did he slip back in when I went on the porch?? Agh!! So I repeated all the steps again, shutting off each room as I went by and opening both the front and back doors this time.
I don't see him now, did he leave? I'm not really in the mood to sleep and really glad I can take a nap tomorrow before work! So where did he get in? Was he alone? Was it the same bat twice? Is this some weird promo for the movie???
